The entire Shilo Community is invited to attend a town hall meeting hosted by the CFB Shilo Base Command Team at General Strange Hall on Jan. 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The date has been changed from a previously set day.
The Shilo Town Hall will focus on the community as a whole, family support, as well as morale and welfare activities available in the area.
Service members, Department of National Defence (DND) employees, and all residents of the Shilo community are encouraged to attend.
“The Town Hall will include short briefings from a variety of agencies on services and opportunities in the community, including the City of Brandon, Brandon Salutes, CFB Shilo, Canadian Forces Morale & Welfare Services, the Shilo Military Family Resource Center and the Canadian Forces Housing Agency,” Base Commander Lieutenant-Colonel David Cronk stated in an email to Shilo Stag News.
“Following the briefings, there will be a question and answer session where community members can ask questions to take advantage of the expertise made available on this day and to ensure leadership has an opportunity to hear concerns voiced from the community,” he stated.
To enable all community members to participate, refreshments will be served and to assist with attendance, drop-off daycare services will be provided. To register for daycare, contact the Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) either by: email info@shilomfrc.ca; phone (CSN) 258-3367 / (Base) 204 765 3000 x2583367; or in person at the front desk of the MFRC.
