For the fifth year, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and Canadian Rangers can apply for tuition reimbursement of up to $1,000 through a program administered by Support Our Troops.

Support Our Troops is the official charitable cause of the CAF and manages donations from the George and Helen Vari Canadian Armed Forces Education Fund.

“At this time, qualifying members of the Canadian Armed Forces can apply for a bursary of up to 50 per cent of their tuition costs to a maximum amount of $1,000,” CFMWS stated in a letter on Oct. 2.

“The George and Helen Vari Foundation  Education Bursary is available to Primary  Reserve Force members (ResF) and  Canadian Rangers of the Canadian Armed  Forces (CAF) … This  Program is intended to complement but not duplicate other educational support programs offered to the CAF Community. “

The bursary is for members who have completed a course in an undergraduate, graduate or vocational program at an accredited Canadian college or university, leading to a degree, diploma or certificate on a part-time or full-time basis between Sept. 1, 2023 and Aug. 31, 2024.

Applications for the 2024 bursary will be accepted until Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. EST. Further details can be found at: https://www.supportourtroops.ca/Get Support/Education/George-and-Helen-Vari Foundation-Education-Bursary
