Nicknamed ‘baseball’ grenade, Canada’s Army uses C13 as standard throwing weapon
The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are not the only ones to use the M67 grenade, under the name C13. Several armies have, or still use this explosive device, especially in combat. Thus, during the Falklands War against the United Kingdom (UK) in 1982, the armed forces of the Republic of Argentina used this type of grenade.
King Charles III marks 50th anniversary of Order of Military Merit
As we mark the 50th anniversary of the Order of Military Merit, I particularly wanted to express my warmest good wishes to the more than 5,000 members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have been appointed to the Order since its creation by my late mother in 1972. For almost as long as the Order has been in existence, I have had the privilege of enjoying a close relationship with the Canadian Armed Forces and I have seen at first-hand the exceptional dedication of Canadians who have chosen to serve in the profession of arms.

Defence Minister marks Black History month
Defence minister Anita Anand invited Canadians to join her in celebrating the beginning of Black History month. “Black History month gives us the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the many contributions Black Canadians have made over the years to help make Canada the prosperous, peaceful, democratic and compassionate nation that it is,” she said.
