Three Canadian Great War soldiers being buried in France

The burials of three Canadian soldiers of the First World War — Pte Harry Atherton, Cpl Percy Howarth, and Sgt Richard Musgrave — will take place June 8 at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s (CWGC) Loos British Cemetery outside Loos-en-Gohelle, France.
19 Canada Pride citation ceremonies hosted by DND across Canada

In April, the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) began holding regional ceremonies to present the Canada Pride Citation to eligible current and former military members, as defined in the Ross, Roy, Satalic Class Action Final Settlement Agreement, also known as the LGBT Purge Class Action.

Last week, the Department of National Defence (DND) and Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) commemorated Indigenous Awareness Week. This included activities at CFB Shilo, where four tipis were raised in a field adjacent to L25. The final day featured drumming and dancing, including a circle dance involving those who took in the morning event.
Defence Minister announces further military aid for Ukraine

Minister of National Defence Anita Anand, and CDS Gen Wayne Eyre participated via video link in the 12th Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) meeting, hosted by United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III. During the meeting, Allies and partners discussed the current battlefield situation in Ukraine and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes by providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine with comprehensive military assistance.
