DP1 candidates continue their infantry training on Base and in the RTA, with their graduation scheduled for Nov. 28. A trip to the rappel tower was on the agenda all morning as these future infantry soldiers moved up to a scenario where they will rappel from a hovering helicopter while fully kitted minus their weapons.

The Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) have confirmed the identification of remains recovered during a munitions clearing process in Vendin-le-Vieil, France, as being those of Pte Harry Atherton, a Canadian soldier of the First World War.
