Stag editor Jules Xavier always has his Nikons at the ready, when it comes to capturing wildlife which frequent the Base and its hinterland. From fawn in the spring hanging out with mom at Base HQ, to the herds of whitetail deer which forage for food in the Q Patch to the forest north of the railway tracks, there are plenty of feathered and four-legged creatures calling this area home. There are also elk in the RTA, which you can often crossing Hwy 340. Your home also includes an array of birds, from song birds to a hungry hawk in search of the Base’s gophers for a quick meal.
