The numbers are in, and organizers could not wait to express their heartfelt thanks for the generous participation with No Stone Left Alone.
This includes the event held at the Brandon municipal cemetery in the veterans’ section last month.
No Stone Left Alone organizers are extremely proud and grateful of the increasing opportunities we have to help us educate, honour and remember the sacrifices our military have made, and continues to make, for us. We couldn’t do it without you, and for that we offers thanks.

Veterans honoured with a poppy at their graves: 2020 – 28,722; 2021 – 67,171; and in 2022 – 79,896.
Students engaged: 2020 – 1,510; 2021 – 7,702; and in 2022 – 9,778.
Communities involved: 2020 – 60; 2021 – 88; and in 2022, including Brandon – 168.
To our volunteers from Brandon and its hinterland: Time and passion are things money can’t buy, and we are so fortunate to have captured the interest and generosity of so many individuals. The time, support and dedication the volunteers continue to give to our mission does not go unnoticed and ultimately allows our initiatives to be carried out and seen through to the very end – and beyond.
To our teachers and students from Brandon schools: Having the opportunity to inform and teach our youth about the sacrifices our brave military have made and continue to make for us is a large part of our mission, and we are elated to see the ongoing engagement from the incredible teachers, students and school staff that make it all possible.
To our communities like Brandon: There is nothing more powerful than the strength of community. The past couple of years have been a true test of that, and these challenging times have made us stronger together. We thank you for helping us bring everyone together in order to show our respect to those who serve.
To our donors: To put it simply, we would not be able to carry out our initiatives without your generous support. You have remained proud supporters of NSLA and enabled us to reach a new level of growth that we have been working so hard to achieve. Because of you, we are able to set our sights on even bigger goals of engaging new communities and youth, and provide ongoing resources for all those interested, no matter where they are.
To our Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from CFB Shilo: All that we do, we do for you. There are no words that can truly express our heartfelt appreciation and respect for all that you sacrifice for our people, communities and country. Thanks for yesterday, today and tomorrow. To honour, to educate, to remember.
