Capt James Smith
Shilo Special
I would like to take this time to introduce myself as Shilo’s mayor.
I was posted in from CFB Gagetown, New Brunswick, with my wife and two dogs. I’m excited to have this opportunity to serve the local community, and welcome input and participation.
The Shilo Community Council (SCC) is a great opportunity to make an impact on the area which we live in.
BComd LCol Chris Wood is eager for input from those who reside here. Join me in making CFB Shilo the best place to live, work and play. We are currently looking to fill vacant ward councillor positions.
There are six wards and we would like to see two people from each ward. In order to qualify for the ward councillor position you must meet the following criteria:
• Live in the Residential Housing Units — preferably in the ward you are applying for;
• Be 16 years or older; and
• Ward councillors need not be CAF members/DND employees.
Anyone who is interested, e-mail me: james.smith7@forces.gc.ca
I look forward to hearing from you. Next SCC meeting is planned for Feb. 27 at 1:45 p.m. in the Base HQ boardroom.
