Carnivores unite! A freezer full of feast is up for grabs to the lucky holders of two winning tickets for the CFMWS PSP Meat Draws Fundraiser to be drawn Nov. 17 and Dec. 1.

Lisa Fischer, PSP administration assistant, said it is an inaugural year for the fundraiser, with the organizing committee hoping to raise funds for social events to keep team spirit alight.

“We are looking to give back to staff in the season of giving,” she said of the raffle.

Only 150 $5 tickets are on sale for the scrumptious meat packs consisting of one case of meaty back ribs, smoked picnic ham, one pound of sliced bacon, one pound of garlic sausage, two single tender-loins, two 200-gram packs of sliced pepperoni and two six packs of pork dinner sausage.

Tickets are on sale in the CANNEX Mall on Nov. 16 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and afterward by contacting Lisa Fischer, PSP Administration Assistant in the headquarters building or email lisa.fischer@forces.gc.ca or see Shauna Wright in NPF Accounting during business hours.

More than 50 tickets have been sold so far for the East 40 Packers prepared feasts of meat donated by Banquets and Bashes, event planners based in Carberry.

As an added bonus, those who purchase tickets by Nov. 16, will be included in two draws, each held on Nov. 17 and Dec. 1. Tickets purchased after Nov. 17 will be entered in the latter draw.
