Army Cadets travel to Vimy Ridge

In the weeks surrounding the another anniversary of the battle and victory of Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917, thousands of students and Cadets from across Canada travelled to the historic site in France to commemorate the Canadian troops who fought and who gave their lives during the First World War.

MPs replaced Crown Victoria Interceptor in 2013 with Ford sedan, utility models

New police vehicles you see driving around CFB Shilo arrived here in 2013. After six years of service the Crown Victoria Interceptor model cars were retired that year. The Crown Victoria was the police vehicle of choice for most North American police agencies until 2011, when the last vehicle came off Ford’s production line — 19 years after the first vehicle was delivered to a police agency.

Not unlike past years, the BComd’s annual Lobsterfest is about to be “SOLDOUT” based on ticket sales. According to Maj Lindsay Jackson, there are seven tickets remaining to be purchased at the Jr Ranks Mess, while she has 14 available at the RCA Museum.
