Hi! I am Zainab Akande. I’m excited to join the military community as the assistant editor at Shilo Stag News. I am looking forward to exploring a new world where I can build my experience and use my skills in a fresh neighbourhood.

I look forward to meeting unique people, learning more about the military community and sharing the stories that matter to members, families and you.

I am originally from Nigeria and have a background in media, communications and public relations. Over the years, I have worked in radio, social media, and corporate communications, where I gained experience sharing information with diverse audiences. Throughout my career, I have developed a love for storytelling and connecting with people. After moving to Canada, I continue to build my skills and explore new opportunities.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, creating digital content and expressing my creativity and style through fashion. I am excited to meet you all and share your stories with others.
