It was a hive of activity inside and outside of L25, with steak and lobster being prepared on the barbecue and boilers for the annual BComd Lobsterfest. More than 800 were in attendance at a community event on Base which has been postponed the past few years because of the COVID pandemic. With his CoC planned for June 26 in the morning, BComd LCol Chris Wood was able to enjoy this always SOLDOUT event, with wife Lisa and his kids Rachel and Ryan, plus the guests at his table. Some of the BComd Lobsterfest goers found ways to standout, from wearing special hats to donning cool lobster sandals. The tandem of steak chefs MWO Jason Power and Jim MacKenzie did not miss a beat at their barbecue, flipping steaks with their tongs as they have done for many years since the event has been held on Base. The lobster bite happened again, with a few individuals posing for the Stag’s editor with their tasty lobster. There’s already talk of the ’24 BComd Lobsterfest, with incoming BComd LCol David Cronk hosting it in another 365 days. Photos Jules Xavier/Shilo Stag
