It was an excellent turnout, with perfect weather conditions Friday morning, when Shilo Community Council (SCC) Mayor Capt James Smith organized a sparing clean-up along Royal Avenue, mosing west towards the Q-Patch. Thirteen large bags were collected, plus other large items. This was the largest turnout since SCC spring clean-ups were held under former RPOU-W Det Shilo OC Maj Reginald Sharpe, who was mayor at the time. Capt Smith had three groups work along Royal Avenue on the west side, with Base side, 2PPCLI and 1RCHA involved. Gloves and garbage bags were supplied to the more than 150 soldiers involved.
