1RCHA was unable to have its traditional Kingston Cup game at Gunner Arena because of the absence of A & B Btys due to Op REASSURANCE. However, for 1RCHA’s 124th birthday the Regiment celebrated with a sports day and a BBQ. But first, a ball hockey game at the GSH for bragging rights to raise the Hugsweier Cup. CO LCol Joe O’Donnell dropped the official ball to start the game, where the battery commanders usually also drop their gloves for a friendly dust-up. Once the game commenced, HQ Bty prevailed on the scoresheet to win facing off against a combined Z/C A/B Btys. The trophy was presented to the winning team by LCol O’Donnell.
